Privacy Policy.

This policy explains how MyPlateCheck handles personal information when you use our website, vehicle checks, paid reports, customer report access and advertising services.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

1. Who operates MyPlateCheck

MyPlateCheck is owned and operated by Pixel Web Solutions Ltd, Regency Avenue, Middlesbrough, TS6 0QH. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Pixel Web Solutions Ltd trading through the MyPlateCheck service.

2. Information we may collect

We may collect vehicle registration searches, name, email address, telephone number, billing and transaction references, report purchases, report-access activity, advertising booking details, campaign artwork, destination URLs, IP address, browser/device information, security logs and communications with us. We do not store raw payment-card details.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide vehicle checks and paid reports, process payments, create and protect customer report access, manage report credits, operate advertising bookings, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot the service, provide support, maintain security and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

4. Lawful bases

Depending on the activity, we process personal information because it is necessary to perform a contract with you, because we have legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, because we must comply with legal obligations, or because you have given consent where consent is required.

5. Vehicle information

Vehicle information may be obtained from public-sector sources and specialist third-party data providers. Vehicle information can vary by registration, age and source availability. A vehicle registration number may be stored with a report or transaction so that the requested service can be delivered and retrieved later.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Payment information is sent directly to Stripe and MyPlateCheck receives transaction identifiers, payment status and related information needed to fulfil your purchase, manage refunds or investigate payment issues. Stripe processes information under its own privacy terms.

7. Service providers

We may use trusted providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, security, vehicle-data services and other infrastructure required to operate MyPlateCheck. Providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and are expected to protect it appropriately.

8. Advertising

If you book advertising with MyPlateCheck, we may process company and contact details, campaign dates, artwork, website destinations, payment information and campaign-performance information such as impressions and clicks. Advertising changes may be retained in audit and security records.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies where needed for essential site operation, security, sessions and, where enabled, analytics or advertising. More information is available in our Cookie Policy.

10. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including providing access to purchased reports, maintaining transaction and accounting records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, managing advertising campaigns and meeting legal obligations. Different records may therefore have different retention periods.

11. Security

We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information, including access controls, secure sessions, encrypted connections, restricted administrative access, security logging and time-limited report-access links. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights

Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access your personal information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion or restriction in certain circumstances, object to certain processing, request portability where applicable and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

13. International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

14. Children

MyPlateCheck is intended for people using vehicle information and vehicle-history services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly design the service to collect personal information from children.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service, our providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
